Look for a vertical or horizontal relationship in the given equation. In the horizontal or vertical side of the equation where both numerator and denominators are given, look for a multiplier to the smaller number so that the product is equal to the bigger number. Use this multiplier to multiply it with the smaller number on the other side of the equation and you will get the value of "x". If there are no horizontal or vertical relationships on the given equation, do a cross multiplication on the numerators and denominators. Divide or multiply the denominator or numerator so that only the "x" value will remain on one side of the equation. Multiply or divide all three numbers as needed and you will finally get the value of "x".
